Rockweed with Mussel

This painting was inspired by some sea magic that I found while beach combing on Long Island this summer. I often pick up inspiration or snap photos of elegant clumps of sea debris to use as reference for paintings during my time at the beach. Between the barnacles, the seaweed & the mussel shell, I wonder how far/how long this group had been traveling together.
