I took a lot of chances this year & am incredibly glad I did. After closing my brick & mortar shop in the fall of 2015, I took to the road as a full-time art gypsy.
<<< YES that does say 39 festivals, in 6 states. In 2017, I had both my BEST SHOW EVER and my worst show(s) ever in 8 years as an art festival artist. I'm learning where "my people" are and where they are not.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth. It can be rough putting yourself on display... OR as I like to say, "Standing on street corners, peddling paintings of crustaceans to the strangers." BUT those stop-in-your-tracks, toothy-smile, grab-your-friend, look-at-THIS-artwork moments make it worth it.
I make happy, whimsical, sometimes-goofy artwork about things that I love. I get to go to places I love, find new places to love, and share my artwork with people who share the same loves.
Looking forward to seeing "my people" on the road in 2018.
xx
